The Family Guy Spinoff Show

Seth MacFarlane, the creator of Family Guy, has created a Family Guy spinoff. The new show, to be titled "The Cleveland Show", will revolve around Cleveland Brown, the neighbor of Family Guy's main character, Peter Griffin. Cleveland, who plays a black stereo type, usually brings big laughs when he comes on screen, with his soft and slow, drawn out way of talking and his clumsiness.

The character, which is narrated by Mike Henry, got divorced from his wife, Loretta, in season four, after her affair with Quagmire. Now, in the Family Guy spinoff, he is reunited with his high school sweetheart, Donna, who lures him to Stoolhbend, Virginia. So he picks up his son and his belongings and moves away from Rhode Island, leaving Peter, Lois, Stewie, Chris, Meg, and Brian behind.

Other than Cleveland and his son, you won't see any of the other main characters in the Family Guy Spinoff, although it is expected that they will occasionally make an appearance on the new show. There will, however, be a whole new cast of hilarious characters, including Cleveland and Donna's new redneck neighbor, Lester, as well as Donna's two children from her previous marriage, and many more.

The good news is that Family Guy will also still be around, so it will be twice the laughs and fun with both Family Guy and the Family Guy spinoff. I'm not sure what Cleveland plans to do with his deli, or how he will earn a living in Virginia, but the suspense and speculation give up something to ponder while we await the release of The Cleveland Show.

One thing is certain, there is sure to be as many laughs and half naked cartoons in this Family Guy Spinoff as there are in Family Guy itself. Look for the debut of The Cleveland Show in September 2009.
